I Bet My Boyfriend $50 He Couldn’t Pass This ‘How Well Do You Know Me’ Quiz. I Was Dead Wrong.

So, let’s be real for a second. I’ve been with Jake for three years. Three.

Years. At this point, I figured I was an open book. I thought he knew every

single one of my "quirks"—like my weird obsession with iced matcha even when

it’s 20 degrees out, or how I literally cannot sleep if the closet door is

slightly cracked.

Anyway, we were sitting on the couch last Friday, just doing the usual "what do

you want to eat?" "i don't know, what do YOU want to eat?" loop for forty

minutes. I was scrolling through my phone and saw this ad for a “how well do you

know me” quiz on this app called Couple Games.

I looked at him and said, “Babe, if you can get more than 80% on this, I’ll pay

for dinner tomorrow. Hell, I’ll give you $50 cold hard cash.”

Jake—who usually has the memory of a goldfish—smirked. “Only 80%? Make it 90%

and you have to do the dishes for a week.”

Challenge accepted.

The Moment of Truth (and my $50 flying away)

We downloaded Couple Games and honestly, I thought I had it in the bag. The

first few questions were easy. What’s my favorite color? (Forest green, duh).

What’s my go-to pizza topping? (Pineapple—don’t judge me).

But then the app started getting... specific.

It asked things like: "What is your partner’s biggest irrational fear?"

I was like, okay, there’s no way he remembers this. I told him once, like two

years ago, that I’m lowkey terrified of mascots at sporting events. I don't know

why, they’re just... creepy.

Jake didn’t even blink. He typed it in. Correct.

Then it asked: "What was the exact moment they realized they were in love with

you?"

I actually got a little choked up reading his answer. I won't get all mushy on

here, but let’s just say he remembered a specific rainy day at a crappy coffee

shop that I thought he’d totally forgotten about.

Why this hit different

I’ve tried those "21 questions" lists you find on Pinterest, but they’re always

so boring and repetitive. This was different. The Couple Games app actually

made it feel like a game show. We were laughing, arguing over my "real" favorite

movie (it's 10 Things I Hate About You, no matter what I say when I’m trying to

sound cool), and actually talking.

By the end of the quiz, his score popped up: 94%.

I was shook. Literally. I’m out fifty bucks and I have to do the dishes until

next Sunday, but honestly? It was the best night we’ve had in months. It’s so

easy to just sit in the same room and scroll TikTok, but this actually made us

connect again.

If you think you know your partner... think again lol

If you’re bored tonight or just want to see if your S.O. is actually paying

attention when you talk, you HAVE to try this. Seriously, go download Couple

Games.

Here’s why it’s actually good (and not just another lame app):

  • The questions aren't basic: It’s not just "what's my birthday." It actually digs deep.

  • It’s lowkey addictive: We ended up playing for like two hours.

  • Categories for everything: Whether you’ve been dating for 2 months or married for 10 years, they have stuff for you.

Fair warning though: Don’t bet money unless you’re prepared to lose it lol. I’m

currently writing this while staring at a sink full of dirty plates. Worth it.
